Dave Green

I started my commodities career in the City of London in 1983. My formative years in the industry were spent working for Shippers and Traders, gaining an in depth knowledge of contracts and shipping documents, including insurance and demurrage claims, both in the paper and physical markets in
South East Asia, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa as well as North and South America.

In 1992 I went to work at a Vegetable Oil Refinery in Hull, UK where I managed the shipping department and pipeline supply, working closely with the traders.

A trading position followed in 1996 for the next 13 years, involving a trade route from South East Asia, via Sub-Saharan Africa to South America.

Since 2010 I have been broking various Oils & Fats and related by-products and Consulting on commodity trading matters.

I became a FOSFA Arbitrator in 2016 and joined TSL in 2017.
